Fifteen teams. One Gossip Goblin seed clip. One evening to turn it into your team's own short film.
How it works
Every team gets the same starting material: a fifteen-second seed clip from Gossip Goblin's latest film, Gods Don't Give Gifts, plus the character and landscape sheets behind it. Everyone starts from the exact same place. What you build from there is up to you.
What you'll build with
Your own product. If you're building creative infra, use the night to put it to work. Take the seed clip through your own pipeline and let a room full of founders, filmmakers, and model builders see what it makes.
Showrunner. Not bringing your own stack? You get access to Showrunner, the official creative platform of Gossip Goblin, including pre-existing prompts and assets.
Selected teams also have the opportunity to receive model credits from select partners.
What you'll make
One short film, up to two minutes.
Who's coming
Fifteen teams of two to four people. Founders and builders shipping in genAI content and creative tooling, AI filmmakers with real work behind them, and technical folks working on the models and pipelines underneath. Apply as a team, or apply solo and we'll place you.
How it ends
Every team screens their film. The room votes live, a panel of judges weighs in, and we award the best of the night. Food and drinks throughout.
Prizes
First place. $2,000, tickets to the LA premiere of Gods Don't Give Gifts, the opportunity to be featured in the Gossip Goblin universe, Showrunner Studio credits, and credits from our partner model providers.
Second place. $1,000, movie tickets to Gods Don't Give Gifts for the whole team, Gossip Goblin swag, Showrunner Studio credits, and credits from our partner model providers.
Third place. $500, movie tickets to Gods Don't Give Gifts, and credits from our partner model providers.
Where this came from. For the first time, content can evolve. It can be remixed, extended, and reinterpreted indefinitely. It is never truly finished, and it isn't meant to be. At 645 Ventures, we call this Iterative Media. This event celebrates that thesis — you can read more on our view on the future of genAI content and how it will lead to the next major entertainment shift here.
Applications close October 10. We review on a rolling basis, so apply early. Accepted teams get the seed assets, the venue, and the run of show directly.
