Weekly Build: Claude Code vs. Codex
The AI coding agent wars are heating up.
Anthropic's Claude Code and OpenAI's Codex are both claiming to be the best AI coding assistant — and they're honestly both pretty impressive. Claude Code is the terminal-native, context-aware collaborator. Codex is the cloud-first, parallel-task runner. Different philosophies, overlapping territory.
This Friday at Weekly Build, we're digging into both. Not a lecture, not a tutorial — just a group of builders comparing notes, sharing what they've actually shipped with these tools, and trying stuff live.
What to expect:
Casual conversation about what's working (and what's not) with Claude Code and Codex
Show & tell — bring something you've built or are building with either tool
Live experimentation — we'll throw the same tasks at both and see what happens
General vibes about where AI-assisted coding is heading
Whether you're deep in the terminal every day or just curious about what these tools can do, come hang. No expertise required — we're all figuring this out together.
Hosted by ShipSLC. We build things together every Friday and keep each other shipping.
