About Gregory Peel
Gregory L. Peel is a senior executive, speaker, and the founder of EclipXe Solutions — a minority, veteran-owned medical device consulting firm. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Greg has held executive leadership roles at two of the industry's most respected companies: Johnson & Johnson and Medtronic.
His journey into this field was not a straight line. After graduating from Bowie State University with a degree in Business Management, Greg served as a counterintelligence officer in the U.S. military under a four-year ROTC scholarship from Howard University, rising to the rank of Captain. A single phone call from a headhunter in 1993 pivoted his career into the world of medical devices — an industry he knew nothing about at the time but would come to master over the next three decades.
Greg also holds a dual master's degree from Johns Hopkins University — an MBA from the Carey Business School and a Master of Science in International Studies.
He is the author of the #1 best-selling book, The Pivot Point: Breaking into Medical Device Sales, which shares the untold stories of 16 African American trailblazers who shaped the medical device industry. The book has been endorsed by Roger E. Cameron, the creator of Cameron-Brooks and author of PCS To Corporate America, who called it a work he wished had existed 50 years ago.
