About 021:Events
021:Events is a Vancouver-based organization that designs and delivers practitioner-led AI workshops for professionals building real systems. Their programs are developed with working operators, not academics or consultants, and are built around hands-on exercises rather than lectures. 021 is a partner of Northeastern University, through which they deliver accredited professional programs. AI for CRE: Claude Cowork is their first workshop designed specifically for commercial real estate professionals.
Curriculum
Overview
A practitioner-led, full-day workshop built around seven hands-on exercises using real CRE problems: CAM reconciliation with planted errors, lease review with jurisdictional complexity, property valuation with data platform gaps, and vendor management with building-specific requirements. You move from using pre-built plugins, to customizing them for your asset class and jurisdiction, to assembling a workspace you can deploy Monday morning.
Morning
The Shift: Why AI transforms CRE careers and what the plugin architecture makes possible. Discussion and context-setting; no laptops.
Claude on Your Files: Connect Cowork to a deal folder, organize documents, generate a manifest. The first hands-on experience.
Connectors and Plugins: Connect email, calendar, and property management tools. Understand how plugins, connectors, and skills work in practice.
Finance Plugin: CAM Reconciliation: Reconcile CAM charges against budget, decompose variance drivers, and generate a property-level P&L. Deliberately planted errors require lease-specific judgment to catch.
Afternoon
Legal Plugin: CRE Lease Review: Customize the Legal plugin's contract-review playbook for your asset class and jurisdiction. Run a full lease review and evaluate the output against professional standards.
Multi-Plugin Deal Workflow: Combine valuation, investment screening, and IC memo drafting across four plugins. Override corporate finance defaults with CRE-appropriate assumptions.
Operations Plugin: Apply structured workflows to vendor evaluation, maintenance runbooks, and operational status reporting.
Capstone: Your Workspace: Select and configure connectors, plugins, and settings for your specific CRE role. Present your workspace. Walk out with a toolkit your team can use Monday morning.
