Welcome to Base’s First Developer Event in Türkiye: The Mini App Hyperthon
The blockchain ecosystem is evolving at lightning speed. In this dynamic space, platforms and infrastructure with a long-term vision stand out. As part of Onchain Summer 2025 (which continues Monday, August 25th) and the New Day One (ND1) launch, Base is hosting a global series of Mini App Hyperthons to grow the Base ecosystem.
For the first time in Türkiye, we are bringing the excitement to Ankara to connect developers with the tools, startup support, and community they need to build the future on Base.
This special Hyperthon will guide participants through the complete mini app development process on Base, from idea to deployment. By the end of the day, you will have the chance to launch your own mini app on the Base App.

About the Base App
The Base App is a superapp that offers a curated catalogue of mini applications combined with the speed, security, and transparency of blockchain infrastructure. It is designed for everyday use, making it simple for people to discover and interact with mini apps that deliver real-world value. For developers, it is the entry point to a vibrant, global ecosystem.
Base, incubated within Coinbase, is an Ethereum Layer 2 (L2) network offering a secure, low-cost, developer-friendly way to build decentralized apps onchain. What is a Mini App?
A mini app is a lightweight web application that runs directly inside the Base App, with no browser or installation required. Built using familiar frameworks like Next.js and Mini-Kit, mini apps function like traditional apps but are fully integrated into the Base App experience for seamless interaction.
Onchain Summer 2025
The Onchain Summer Retroactive Hackathon, a Base community favorite, rewards the most innovative, impactful, and widely used mini apps and consumer apps in the ecosystem. It runs until Monday, August 25th and this Istanbul Hyperthon is your chance to take part.
