On April 21, we’re taking over The Jericho Tavern for an evening of storytelling from people working to create change for people and the planet. No slides, no panels, no scripts. Just real moments, shared in front of a room of curious, open listeners.
If you’ve never been to a story slam before, think of it like an open mic for stories. One by one, speakers step up to share something that actually happened to them. Some stories are funny, some are raw, some catch you off guard, but all of them are real. You don’t know what’s coming next, and that’s what makes it so compelling.
These are stories about moments where something shifted, personally, professionally, or in how someone sees the world. The kind of moments that do not usually make it into talks or LinkedIn posts, but are often the ones that matter most.
We’re hosting the night at The Jericho Tavern, one of Oxford’s most iconic venues and an early stage for Radiohead before they were world-famous. It has always been a place for emerging voices, and for one night, those voices are storytellers.
