Nadhi Chennai × Palluyir Trust - Nature Walk + Art - By the Shore | <Climate Week India>
Nadhi Chennai × Palluyir Trust | Nature Walk + Art by the Shore
This is an open session. Everyone is welcome.
When was the last time you really looked at a beach? 🌊
Not just walked along it.
Not just watched the waves.
Actually looked.
This week, Nadhi Chennai is heading to Nochikuppam, near the lighthouse at the end of Marina Beach, for a evening of exploring the coast, learning from what we find and turning some of those observations into art.
We’ll be joined by Palluyir Trust, who will take us through:
🐚 Sand formation and different types of shells
🐟 Bycatch and stories from the local fishing community
🦀 Coastal fauna and the species we often walk past without noticing
🎯 A beach bingo activity to make the exploration a little more fun
🎨 And an art activity using the things we observe along the way
Each participant will also get a coastal fauna guide to use during the walk, and all art materials will be provided.
And importantly, this is an open session. Everyone is welcome. 🌱
Children under 5 can join for free, so bring the family along!
You don’t need to know anything about coastal ecology or art.
Just come ready to walk, look closely, make something and perhaps see Chennai’s shoreline a little differently.

About Nadhi Events (Online & Offline)
Nadhi designs small, intentional sessions for women+ working across climate, sustainability and related fields.
Our programming focuses on three outcomes: building practical capacity, strengthening professional networks and supporting long-term career pathways in climate.
Sessions are designed to be participatory and grounded in real work ,bringing together practitioners, founders and policy or program professionals to exchange perspectives, test ideas, and build relationships that extend beyond the room.
Nadhi’s work spans sustainability, policy, finance, technology, and culture, recognising that climate action is shaped as much by systems and decisions as by solutions.
