APRIL AGENDA
This month we focus on companies serving people in challenging circumstances.
Our first presentation will be from Advoteck, a technology company focused on helping protect vulnerable individuals from online scams, particularly aging adults and adults with cognitive disabilities. They have built a product called TypeSafe, a mobile keyboard extension that helps prevent sensitive information from being shared in risky places like text messages, email, or social media. It works by recognizing patterns tied to personal information and alerting a caregiver if something potentially unsafe is being typed. The goal is to provide protection in real time while still respecting the user’s independence.
Leading the discussion will be Danny Moran, the founder of Advoteck, a company he started after seeing firsthand how easily vulnerable individuals can be targeted online, including his own sister who has autism. Over the past several years, he has been focused on building and testing solutions that balance safety with independence for those most at risk. His background is rooted in operations and customer-focused problem solving, with a hands-on approach to building and growing early-stage ventures. He is passionate about creating practical solutions that help families feel safer when navigating the online world and social media.
In our second discussion will take in Myndset, a mobile AI performance coach that turns daily mental training into confidence that athletes and high performers can use under pressure. Through short, repeatable Mental Reps, it helps users reset faster, refocus after mistakes, and execute when the moment matters most. Built around a proven performance-first framework from the high school to pro and Olympian levels, Myndset trains a repeatable pressure response so confidence becomes something you practice, not something you hope shows up on game day.
Leading us will be Craig Mason who has built and scaled health tech as a 2x founder, Chief Innovation Officer of a major health tech organization, and by architecting largest-scale systems in the world while at Cerner/Oracle. He's a proud dad, husband and mental health advocate who has turned his struggles into solutions and businesses that deliver real upstream impact.
