Dinner with the Rt Hon Claire Coutinho MP: Re-Energising British Businesses
As part of our mission to make the UK the best place in the world to start and scale a business, we regularly engage with all of the main Westminster parties to bridge the gap between entrepreneurs and policymakers.
In collaboration with Conservative Networks we have arranged a private roundtable dinner with the Shadow Energy Secretary, the Rt Hon Claire Coutinho MP.
Access to cheap, dependable energy is a fundamental building block of economic success. When energy costs soar, individual businesses lose their competitive edge, and entire sectors can find themselves facing existential threat. Britain suffers from some of the most expensive energy costs in the world – due to a range of factors that have constrained the construction of new generation capacity.
At the dinner we will discuss with Claire her plans to bring down the costs of energy for businesses, and what opportunities there could be for innovative startups as a result.
