Workshop Swarm: Decentralize Any Frontend
Decentralize Any Frontend
Most decentralized applications still depend on centralized frontends, cloud hosting providers, or infrastructure that can go down, change terms, block access, or become a single point of failure.
This workshop shows how to move the user-facing layer of a web application onto Swarm, a decentralized peer-to-peer storage network built for the open web.
In 30 minutes, we will walk through practical ways to deploy a frontend to Swarm, from the easiest browser-based flow to more advanced developer workflows.
What you will learn
We will cover three deployment paths based on the newly released https://justdeploy.bzz.link/ guide.
Level 1: Beeport
Deploy directly from your browser in a few minutes using only your wallet. No installation required.
Level 2: Swarm Desktop
Run your own local node through a simple desktop interface, manage repeat deployments, and update your frontend through feeds.
Level 3: Swarm CLI
Use terminal-based deployment for more advanced workflows, including CI/CD pipelines, automated updates, and immutable storage.
Bonus
Learn how to connect your decentralized frontend to an ENS domain, such as yourname.eth.limo.
Who should attend
Builders, researchers, privacy advocates, and anyone attending BREW who wants to understand what a more decentralized web stack can look like in practice.
You do not need deep technical knowledge to join.
Beginners will be able to follow the browser-based flow, while developers can explore more advanced Swarm workflows.
What to bring
Laptop
This is a practical, hands-on session.
Web3 wallet
Please bring a browser extension wallet such as MetaMask, Brave, or Rainbow.
A small amount of EVM-compatible tokens
You may need a few cents worth of tokens, such as xDAI on Gnosis, to pay for storage.
Workshop Registration
This workshop is part of BREW: Privacy Matters and takes place during the BREW conference on 20 June 2026 in Berlin.
To get the most out of the session, we strongly recommend bringing a laptop, as many workshops include practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises.
Please only register if you genuinely intend to attend as space is limited
