About the meetup:

Since 2023 the Fort Lauderdale Tech Meetup hosts monthly gatherings for startup founders and tech leaders, welcoming 150 to 200 guests per event.

We believe Fort Lauderdale should be an incredible place to build a company—and that starts with building a solid community. You can expect no egos, just genuine connection. If you're building something great, or want to support those who are — join us.

The Agenda:

6:00 PM Networking — A private guest directory will be provided upon arrival
7:00 PM Fireside chat — a founder tactics podcast live recording

"Blockchain Adoption: The Future of Trust”
Steven Walbroehl Co-founder/CTO at Halborn
Fritz Spencer Outsources Services for Startups at EisnerAmper

8:00 PM Networking Continues
9:00 PM Venue Closes

Here's what you can expect from this fireside chat:

Dive into how founders make decisions in a world being shaped by AI, cybersecurity risks, and digital identity. Our speakers will deeply discuss what leaders must understand to build credibility, protect trust, and scale responsibly in a rapidly evolving tech economy.

Steven Walbroehl is the co-founder and CTO at Halborn — an industry-leading blockchain solutions firm for enterprise-grade digital assets, providing world-class, end-to-end security. In 2022, Halborn completed a $90 million Series A funding round. No small feat.

Steven brings a rare combination of deep enterprise cybersecurity expertise and hands-on blockchain experience.

With top-tier credentials in ethical hacking, risk management, cloud architecture, and information security, he’s uniquely qualified to talk about blockchain from a risk and trust perspective. Having spent years learning how systems fail — he now uses that knowledge to help companies build blockchain solutions that don’t.

🔹 He understands security at a military-grade level
🔹 He thinks like an attacker
🔹 He understands enterprise infrastructure

Steven will be interviewed by Fritz Spencer, Outsourced Services for Startups at EisnerAmper, and an early adopter and advocate for Blockchain.

See you there!
