​Sip on a special young, silver-aged pu-erh tea while checking DELOCA, a low carbon battery-powered micro-kitchenette. Sessions will go for half an hour in which you will be served tea reinterpreted through gong fu tea traditions. You can book for your preference of time between 10.00-12.00 and 13.00-16.00 from Tuesday 10th till Thursday 12th February.

​You will find the DELOCA demo on the ground floor in the garden courtyard of UTS Building 5B, in front of the main lecture hall. If it rains during those days then you will find us inside in the lobby of the UTS building 5B.

​DELECTRO is a design research–led new energy product and service development startup at EnergyLab. It specialises in domestic low-carbon energy services with a particular interest in Australian apartment living. Karthik, founder of Delectro, will present the ongoing development of DELOCA, an experience-led, product-service system for low-carbon neighbourhoods.

​Throughout Climate Action Week (CAW) 2026, the showcase will feature DELOCA's ongoing development of the portable micro-kitchenette which is inspired by the great Australian outdoors. DELOCA as a service is also policy informed and particularly addresses the upcoming SOLAR SHARER Program. The service concept is being designed in collaboration with BLUETTI Power Australia, makers of portable and home batteries. As a product-service-system DELOCA is designed to be applicable to apartment balconies, granny flats, tiny homes, urban parks, picnics, camping and beyond. The performative portable kitchen demo welcomes one and all for inputs and discussions enjoyed over servings of tea.
