Future Tables: An Art + Tech Fine Dining Convergence
Future Tables: An Art + Tech Fine Dining Convergence
Overview
Future Tables is an exclusive, high-fidelity civic laboratory ritual hosted at SFMOMA. This activation invites 10 people in Arts and Culture alongside 10 people working in the Tech sector for an evening of structured, non-transactional dialogue. Amidst a shifting urban landscape, Future Tables bridges the gap between the city’s "old soul" and its "new engine" to explore a shared civic future rooted in care, creativity, and collective imagination.
What to Expect
The vibe is elegant, design-forward, and deeply collaborative. This is not a standard networking dinner; it is an active co-creation experience where every guest is an author of the night's outcome.
• The Spectrum Reveal: A live physical installation where your pre-submitted "City Color" digital photos are transformed into tangible prints to anchor your evening's journey.
• The Interactive History: A witty, curated look at the historical parallels where SF's art and tech lineages have danced together in the past.
• "The Civic Cipher" Dialogue: Structured, prompt-driven table conversations mapped out over a multi-course dinner.
• Interactive Art Co-Creation: Throughout the entire evening, you will utilize physical art elements right at the table to visually log, process, and lock your insights directly into your premium keepsake booklet.
• Curated Food & Drink: A multi-course narrative dinner paired with botanical shrubs and local craft beers.
Parking & Transportation
SFMOMA is centrally located and easily accessible via public transit, just a short walk from the Powell St. and Montgomery St. BART/Muni stations. For those driving, the SFMOMA Garage is located nearby at 147 Minna Street. Rideshare drop-offs are recommended along the Third Street entrance for the most direct access to the main elevators.
Accessibility & Considerations
• Mobility: The venue space and dining area are fully wheelchair accessible, with elevator access available from the main lobby.
• Sensory: The space will feature an atmospheric digital slideshow projection and curated background music, but sound levels will remain at a conversational volume. There will be no flashing lights or loud acoustic performances.
• Dietary: All pre-submitted dietary restrictions and allergies collected during your registration checkout will be seamlessly accommodated by our culinary team.
About the Future of Us Festival
Launching on America's 250th anniversary, the inaugural Future of Us festival is a 10-day celebration of civic imagination and possibility. We're turning community-sourced, expert-crafted visions of the future into art, storytelling, and participatory experiences. With 100+ events spanning every corner of the city (floral labyrinths, speculative future worlds, dance parties with a purpose, and neighborhood meet-ups), it's a living exploration of what a more creative and generative civic culture could feel like. Organized around four themes (Green Futures, Social Futures, Science & Tech Futures, and Media Futures), Future of Us is breaking down the barriers between art, ideas, and each other, and everyone is invited to co-imagine what comes next.
