π Sunday, February 15

βJoin us for a slow, grounding afternoon of plants, moss, and tea as we explore kokedamaβthe traditional Japanese art of growing plants in hand-shaped soil balls wrapped in moss and twine. Part sculpture, part plant care ritual, kokedama transforms greenery into living objects designed to be displayed, suspended, or gently rested in your home.
βLed by Youplant Amsterdam, this hands-on workshop invites you to:
βLearn the origins and philosophy behind kokedama
βShape and bind your own soil ball by hand
βWrap and secure your plant using moss and natural materials
βExplore different display and hanging options
βReceive practical care tips to keep your kokedama thriving
βYouβll leave with your own handmade kokedama and a new, accessible plant-growing technique, no prior experience required.
βπ΅ Your ticket includes:
βAll materials to create one kokedama (plant, soil, moss, twine of different colors for customizing)
βGloves (optional, if you prefer not to work directly with soil)
βTea and filtered coffee served throughout the workshop
βA bag to safely transport your kokedama home
βMacrame holder for hanging your kokedama
βπ‘ Good to know:
βNo previous plant experience is needed
βWe recommend avoiding white or light-colored clothing, just in case
βKokedama is beginner-friendly and surprisingly forgiving
