About Event

The Emmy-winning virtual reality experience "Uncanny Alley: A New Day" plays Gray Area San Francisco and Los Angeles at the same time.

Hack the portal. Escape the city. Keep your memories.

The immersive Emmy Award winning VR theater production comes to San Francisco for one night only. Audiences don't just watch Uncanny Alley. They become it.

A cyberpunk hacker races to lead escaped detainees through a hacked portal before their memories are wiped forever. Protect your home or build a new one through a cyberpunk-infused narrative journey that blends interactive games, live performance, and immersive cinema.

The show takes place simultaneously in two cities, LA and SF, as our audiences meet over VR.Scripted and improvised. Online and Offline. Human and Machine.

Uncanny Alley: A New Day won the 2026 Emmy for Outstanding Emerging Media Narrative Programming. This innovative theatre production uses live actors performing and interacting with audiences inside a virtual reality story-verse.

Set in a expansive virtual world of 30+ unique environments, Uncanny Alley: A New Day begins with audiences in prison after protesting at a rally against the impending "New Day update" to their digital world. When a hacker named Gh0st enlists her megabyte friend, Puck, to trigger an explosive jailbreak, audiences are thrust into the sewers beneath the city and swept into a journey through a whimsical, dangerous, and unexpectedly human virtual experience. Two live actors portray 15 characters in real time, inviting audiences to respond directly to performers and the world around them, as embodied characters inside the story.

The event will start with a mixer, with light bites, refreshment, and cash bar.

Doors at 6pm, Show at 7pm.

After the performance, the cast will lead us on a “backstage tour” of the company’s groundbreaking techniques in virtual show control. They’ll discuss the technology being developed at Ferryman Collective, and how both locations projected the real-time VR experience at each other’s site. They’ll answer questions about real-time technology that they use for this hour long performance.

Hosted by the San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and Los Angeles chapters. We would be glad to have you join us.
