This Student Breakout Session is a premier, practical forum during HKGW 2026, tailored for university students and forward-thinking young professionals preparing to enter the green economy. Co-organized by the Capacity-building Alliance of Sustainable Investment (CASI), the Hong Kong Green Finance Association (HKGFA), the HKU Faculty of Social Sciences (Global Society and Sustainability Lab), and the HKU Sustainability Society, this session bridges the gap between academic theory and real-world market evolution.
The program provides a deep dive into the macroeconomic shifts redefining global markets, Hong Kong’s strategic trajectory as Asia’s hub for green finance, and how bedrock sectors - such as banking, energy, and supply chains—are shifting capital toward climate-aligned outcomes. A key focus explores the intersection of technology and ESG, analyzing how Artificial Intelligence (AI) accelerates sustainability workflows through data analytics and climate risk modelling. Beyond high-level trends, a dedicated career seminar features HR leaders and executive recruiters providing practical CV guidance.
