Introducing the Culture Global Stocktake for Climate Action
This orientation webinar marks the official kick-off of the Culture Global Stocktake for Climate Action; a global, participatory process to assess how culture, creative industries, and cultural heritage are contributing to climate action, and how their role can be strengthened within UNFCCC processes.
Hosted by the Entertainment + Culture Pavilion, the 1-hour session will introduce the purpose, scope, and timeline of the Stocktake; explain how partners and contributors can engage; and outline upcoming regional and thematic consultations leading toward the Marrakech Partnership Accelerator (March 2026), SB64 in Bonn, and COP31.
The webinar is open to cultural practitioners, Indigenous knowledge holders, artists, researchers, policymakers, funders, youth leaders, and organizations interested in contributing evidence, perspectives, and language to the first draft of the Culture Global Stocktake.
Participants will be invited to ask questions, share comments and help shape the process by hosting consultations, and co-creating a shared policy document that elevates culture as a driver of climate action.
The session will be recorded and followed by dedicated consultation calls across regions and time zones. The first two consultations will take place virtually on February 25th and 26th, see links to register separately below:
