Wind Technology Testing Center Tour
Join MITEC for a behind-the-scenes tour of MassCEC’s Wind Technology Testing Center (WTTC) in Charlestown. The WTTC is North America’s largest wind blade test facility, where blades up to 90 meters long are bent, flexed, and pushed to failure to simulate decades at sea. After a 45–60 minute tour of the test hall, we’ll have lunch with WTTC's Engineering Director George Blagdon.
Meeting point: 9:45 AM in the Stata Center lobby near the corner of Vassar and Main St (search “Collier’s Cranes” in Google Maps). We’ll split into carpool and Uber groups there, and we’ll return to the same spot after the tour.
Dress Code: pants and closed-toe shoes required
