Films for Lebanon
Join us November 15th for a screening of short films and to raise money for our kin in the South of Lebanon.
This matinee screening will feature two bundles of short films, with films from and about the South and a program from Beirut Animation Nights with a curated showcase of author animation from across the region. Exploring censorship, memory, exile, love and resistance. From intimate personal stories to sweeping allegorical journeys, this program highlights the richness and depth of the contemporary Arab animation scene. The screenings will be followed by a Q+A with filmmaker Ghinwa Yassine and animator Alissar Kobeissi. There will be an intermission between with baked goods and art for sale!
This is a family Friendly event, bring your kids we'd love to have them!
Alissar, Nour and Rindala, three Lebanese Canadians based in Vancouver, came together to organize this night for Lebanon.
