A night for Baltimore’s builders, makers, and innovators.
Baltimore has always been a city of builders, from shipyards to startups, murals to microchips. "Built with Charm" is a new gathering for everyone building something in our city.
Whether you’re shipping an app, experimenting with new tech, finishing a client project you’re proud of, or just getting started on an idea, this is your space to share, connect, and celebrate the act of building something in the city.
Why this exists:
We believe the best ideas often start small and they start here. This isn't about corporate polish or pitch decks. It’s about:
Progress over polish: Unfinished is welcome.
Community over competition: Share, support, and build together.
Local over corporate: Highlighting what’s being made right here.
Creativity over conformity: Code, design, hardware, art—it all counts.
What to expect:
Each event is a simple, energetic gathering focused on sharing and connection.
Show & Tell: 5-7 minute casual demos (no slides needed).
Community Spotlight: A deeper look at a local project.
Open Mic: 1-minute lightning ideas from anyone in the audience.
Connect: Time to talk, network, and collaborate with other creative people.

### A few logistical details:
4 N. Martin Luther King Blvd. Baltimore, MD 21201
4MLK is located on the north west corner of the Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and W. Baltimore St. intersection. The main entrance to 4MLK is located far back, off of W. Baltimore St. To access the main entrance, follow the grey stone plaza all the way back to the last set of doors. As you walk through the plaza, the red brick firehouse will be on your left and the building will be on your right.
Drop-off circle on N. Fremont St
4MLK’s drop-off circle is located at 11 N. Fremont Ave. If you are dropped off here, follow the grey stone sidewalk to the building doors, which is the main entrance to 4MLK. As you walk along the grey stone sidewalk, the back of the red brick firehouse will be on your right, the 4MLK Lot will be on your left, and 4MLK will be in front of you. The doors straight ahead are the main entrance to the building.
Free Parking
Parking is being made available to guests in our adjacent lot, located at 19 N. Fremont Ave. When facing the building, the main entrance is to the right of the parking lot.
