Ring Design/Carving Workshop Led by Olivia Ruxton

​In this introductory workshop to Wax Carving you will learn all about the lost wax casting process and how to carve, sand, and manipulate your wax to make a ring that is all your own. Olivia will walk you through all of the tools and give group and hands on instruction to help you create the silver ring of your dreams. Once you have carved your wax Olivia will take it back to her studio, cast everyone's rings in sterling silver, clean up the castings, and give each ring a lovely polish. In two weeks your rings will be ready for you to either pick up at Big Gurl or to be shipped directly to you. This is a perfect class if you are interested in jewelry, sculpting, creating a handmade gift, and you don’t need to have any experience in jewelry making to participate.

​​​​Our clubs are designed to feel like you're heading to a friend’s place for a cozy craft hang. They’ve gathered all the supplies, walk you through the basics, and then let the good vibes and music take over. We focus on process, play, and building community through creativity.
