Sparks: Game Changers – Info Session
Code Coven is pleased to share details of Sparks: Game Changers, a new professional development programme created in partnership with Ardán and Screen Ireland.
This is a free 6-week course designed for people of underrepresented genders based in the Republic of Ireland who work in or toward the games industry.
For this programme, we define underrepresented genders as:
women (cis and trans)
trans men
non-binary people
and any other gender-non-conforming people
About the programme
Rather than focusing on technical or production skills, Sparks: Game Changers centres on the human skills that can make a real difference in how we experience our work and careers. The course explores:
speaking with clarity and confidence in professional settings
advocating for your needs, boundaries, and value
navigating interviews, negotiations, and career transitions with greater preparedness
We want to help increase participants' confidence and clarity in professional communication, and equip them with practical tools for self-advocacy and negotiation. The program will have focused sessions on improving CV’s, improving interview readiness and job-hunting strategy.
The programme will be delivered online over six weeks, from April 27th to June 7th, 2026. Participants are asked to commit approximately three hours per week for live sessions and practice.
