High-Affinity Talks: Advancements in 3D-structural Immunoinformatics w/the Oxford Protein Informatics Group
Our next High-Affinity Talks features Matthew Raybould from the Oxford Protein Informatics Group (OPIG).
The three-dimensional structure, or structural ensemble, of a molecule governs its biological functions and biophysical properties. Adaptive Immune Receptors (AIRs) are no exception, but their 3D shapes can be challenging to predict accurately and quickly due to their hypervariable loops and the lack of a clear co-evolutionary signal.
In this talk, we will focus on improvements across OPIG's AIR structural resources including developments in the group's AI/ML software suite that both predicts 3D structure and leverages it for property prediction. We will show how this ever more readily accessible and granular structural understanding can help researchers forecast a clone's therapeutic developability, conduct efficient exploration or optimisation campaigns, and illuminate patterns in immune repertoire responses.
