Behind Billion Dollar Deals

Only a few people ever get an inside view of how multi-billion-dollar megaprojects move from vision to reality. Anna Karapetyan is one of them.

Join us at Ground Zero Venture Café for an exclusive evening of wine 🍷 & networking with Anna Karapetyan, an Armenian-born advisor who now works on some of the largest and most sophisticated energy, infrastructure, real estate, and renewable energy transactions in the United States.

As a Senior Associate at Reed Smith LLP, one of the world's leading international law firms, Anna advises developers, investors, financial institutions, private equity sponsors, and energy companies on transactions that shape America's infrastructure and clean energy future.

Among the landmark projects she has worked on is the Edwards Sanborn Solar & Energy Storage Facility in California, one of the world's largest integrated solar and battery energy storage developments. With more than $2 billion in capital commitments and approximately 3,300 MWh of battery storage, it represented the largest solar-plus-storage financing of its kind at the time and was recognized as Project Finance International's "Americas Renewables Deal of the Year."

But this conversation is not about legal documents.

It is about how extraordinary projects become reality. How do hundreds of organizations align around a single vision? How do investors, banks, developers, engineers, utilities, government agencies, and local communities work together to deliver projects of extraordinary scale? What separates successful billion-dollar projects from those that never move beyond an idea?

Anna will share practical lessons on leadership, collaboration, negotiation, systems thinking, and decision-making that extend far beyond the legal profession.

Whether you are an entrepreneur, engineer, architect, investor, student, executive, policymaker, or simply curious about how the world's most ambitious projects are built, you'll leave with a new perspective on what it takes to turn bold ideas into reality.

The conversation will be moderated by Karén Gyulbudaghyan, Tech Diplomacy pioneer, venture capitalist, Founder of Ground Zero Venture Café, and Global Ambassador & Key Advisor to UC Berkeley SkyDeck.

Enjoy wine 🍷, meaningful conversations, and exceptional networking in Ground Zero's intimate and welcoming atmosphere.

As Armenia invests in its own infrastructure, energy, and economic development, this is a rare opportunity to learn from someone helping deliver projects at the highest level of global complexity.
