AssemblyAI is hosting the second-most elite racket event to take place in NYC this year—a 16-player, double-elimination ping pong tournament for developers, founders, and anyone who’s ever yelled at a compiler.
FORMAT
16 players enter the bracket, but only one makes it out on top. Double-elimination, best of 3 games to 11 points.
Competitors face off for glory, trophies, and high-value prizes totaling over $1,500.
Spectators will enjoy front-row access to the chaos, commentary, and free food & drinks, plus compete for the honor of MVO (Most Valuable Observer).
Referees who may or may not understand ping pong will make deeply subjective calls, exercising full and unquestioned authority granted by their custom jerseys.
PROVISIONS
Hydration Station: Sparkling water, soda, and electrolytes will be available for those taking it way too seriously.
Fuel: Pizza dinner catered by Rubirosa with snacks and dessert for optimal mid-match morale.
Dehydration Station: Happy Hour opens during the semifinals for the fallen, the defeated, and those not brave enough to put their name on the bracket.
SCHEDULE
4:00 PM — Check-In: Show up to confirm your spot on the bracket. If you’re not checked in by 4:15, your spot goes to someone faster.
