TKK #38 Pancha Kosha — The Human Operating System: A Layered Architecture of Human Experience
What if we looked at an ancient yogic framework through the lens of technology?
In this session, we will explore Pancha Kosha, the five layers of human experience described in the Taittirīya Upaniṣad, and connect this traditional framework with a concept familiar to developers: layered system architecture.
We’ll look at the five koshas as different layers of the human system—from the physical body and vital energy to the mind, intelligence, and deeper states of awareness.
The session will introduce Pancha Kosha in a practical and accessible way, exploring how these layers interact and how this ancient framework can be understood as a model for human systems, well-being, and self-awareness.
No prior knowledge of yoga or spirituality is required. The session is open to anyone interested in exploring the intersection of ancient wisdom, technology, human experience, and systems thinking.
