About Event

Cadwell Kids brings together engaging sessions designed to give children space to create, explore and connect. Each session offers a different opportunity for children to learn, express themselves and have fun.

"Remake It"with Kéré Studio

Doors open: 2:00pm
Session: 2:30pm-4:00pm

Where do our clothes really come from, and what do we do with them when we're done?

In this hands-on creative session, young people will discover the surprising journey of the clothes they wear, from field to wardrobe and why making them last matters for our planet.

Participants are encouraged to bring an old T-shirt (prewashed) from home, or choose from our tables, and reimagine it into something completely new. Using fabric offcuts, recycled materials and Kéré Studio's own printed iron-on designs, they'll cut, layer and customise a one-of-a-kind piece that's entirely theirs.

They'll explore the ideas behind slow fashion, reusing, repairing and recycling, in a fun, practical way that sticks. Every child leaves with their remade T-shirt, a mini mending kit and a pledge to keep their clothes in use for longer. They also join the Kéré Cares community: a growing group of young makers and enthusiasts who believe the best clothes are made slowly and likely already exist in our wardrobes with a little TLC.
