Impact Pitches Live: Women Reimagining Innovation – Latin America Edition
Across Latin America, women are leading innovations that turn papayas into sunscreens, surplus into meals, and tradition into the future of food. Impact Pitches Live is where these bold ventures meet a global audience ready to learn, connect, and collaborate.
Co-hosted by Impact Hub, Bayer Foundation, and The Bloom, this global pitch series spans three regions — Latin America, Africa & Middle East, and Asia-Pacific — spotlighting awardees from the Bayer Foundation Women Entrepreneurs Award (WEA) who are reshaping health, food, climate, and inclusion.
The Latin America Edition kicks off the series with five awardees driving powerful ventures across the region:
Mariola Urgellés (Costa Rica) – turning rejected papayas into reef-safe sunscreens with Sunspectra.
Mónica Rodríguez (Mexico) – reclaiming culinary heritage with Gaia Alimentos’ nutritious tortillas made from heirloom corn.
Isis Elena Espitia Gil (Colombia) – fighting hunger and food waste with EatCloud, the world’s largest food redistribution platform.
María Auxiliadora Molina Ríos (Honduras) – advancing food security and women’s empowerment with Terra Verde.
Joyce Querubino (Brazil) – building inclusion with LoriComunica, an assistive tech platform giving voice to non-verbal individuals.
