Toast to 2026: Friends & Founders Mixer
A festive New Year's celebration with the Urban Future Lab portfolio.
Let’s kick off 2026 by bringing together the Carbon 2 Value Initiative (C2V) and Offshore Wind Innovation Hub (OWIH) communities: two programs that are advancing the future of climate tech.
This gathering is all about making new connections across industry verticals, swapping stories, and celebrating the companies and teams that make this ecosystem feel like a community. A moment to welcome C2V’s Year 5 Cohort, who will be in town, and gather as one with the broader Urban Future Lab community.
Complementary food and drinks will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Kalypso Offshore Energy - Offshore solution provider with a specialized modular subsea cable repair and maintenance kit for flexible and quick mobilization.
MESPAC - Intelligence platform delivering accurate, continuous, and spatially-refined metocean data powered by satellites and AI.
Orpheus Ocean - Lightweight and modular Autonomous Underwater Vehicle for the collection of seafloor data.
REBLADE - Drone-based robotics tools for automatically repairing edge erosion of wind turbine blades.
Werover - Continuous, real-time monitoring of wind turbine blades using acoustic sensors and AI-powered analytics.
About Carbon to Value Initiative
The Carbon to Value (C2V) Initiative is a unique partnership among Urban Future Lab at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, Greentown Labs, and Fraunhofer USA, to unlock a new carbontech economy, bring innovative solutions to scale as rapidly as possible through the creation of a robust, powerful, and collaborative new ecosystem.
Meet C2V's Year 5 Cohort
Arbon - develops a humidity-swing carbon-capture solution, capturing CO₂ from the air or point-source without heat or pressure.
Cella Mineral Storage - develops a subsurface-mineralization technology with integrated software, enabling new ways to sequester CO₂ underground.
ICODOS - transforms emissions into value through a point-source carbon capture and methanol synthesis process in a single, modularized system.
Lite-1 - uses advanced biomanufacturing processes to produce circular colourants for use in food, cosmetics, and textiles.
Mission Zero Technologies - has developed and internationally deployed an electrified, direct-air carbon capture solution that employs both liquid-adsorption and electrochemical technologies.
Octavia Carbon - develops a solid-adsorption-based, direct-air carbon capture solution that utilizes geothermal heat.
Rushnu - integrates point-source carbon capture with chemical production, turning salt and CO₂ into chlorine-based chemicals and minerals.
Sora Fuel - integrates direct-air capture with direct conversion of the captured carbon into syngas for production of sustainable aviation fuel.
Turnover Labs - develops modular electrolyzers that transform raw, industrial CO₂ emissions into chemical building blocks, without capture or purification.
Universal Matter - develops a Flash Joule Heating process that converts carbon waste such as end-of-life plastics, tires, or industrial waste into graphene.
