Weaving Workshop & Wine (or Tea)
Create Your Own Woven Wall Piece
📍 Zoku Amsterdam | Amsterdam Oost
🗓 January 25
🕛 12:30 - 15:00
Join us for a hands-on introduction to frame loom weaving, where you’ll learn the basics of textile art while creating your own woven wall piece. This beginner-friendly workshop focuses on texture, colour, and intuitive making—no prior experience needed.
You’ll work on a rectangular frame loom, learning how to set it up and weave using a curated selection of winter-inspired yarns in different textures and thicknesses. You’re encouraged to explore freely and follow your own rhythm as you build your piece.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll take the loom home with you, with your woven piece still on it so you can continue weaving afterward. Finishing during the session depends on your pace, but guidance is provided throughout.
🧶 Your ticket includes:
A frame loom to take home
All weaving materials
Step-by-step guidance
Tea, coffee, and light snacks

About the artist:
Blerina is a self-taught fibre artist who began her journey in 2018, driven by a childhood dream of creating art. She built her practice through curiosity and countless hours of embroidery—often alongside full-time work—and is now pursuing her diploma in hand embroidery to deepen her skills. Her work centers on expressive portraits that explore fragility, resilience, and emotional presence. Through needle and thread, she blends traditional techniques with a contemporary artistic voice, treating fibre art as both craft and fine art—intimate, expressive, and deeply human.
