Join us at Granola for a conversation with Julia Whitney, former Executive Creative Director at the BBC!
Julia led design teams for more than twenty years, including eleven years at the BBC, where she led design as media consumption transitioned from radio and TV to the web, and then mobile. She led User Experience and Design for the original BBC iPlayer, then for BBC News, Sport and Weather, before ultimately serving as GM and Executive Creative Director for the BBC’s 150-person User Experience and Design department. Today, Julia is an executive and leadership coach working across Tech, Media and Climate.
We’ll talk about the early days of BBC iPlayer, designing through a generational shift in how we consume media, and what Julia learned from building digital products used by millions of people.
