A Pioneering Moment in Global South Governance

The global commitment to energy transition is set by nations, but its success is determined at the subnational level. Join the inaugural launch of The Meridian Collective, the Subnational Energy Action & Collaboration Hub, a first-of-its-kind platform uniting leaders from the Global South to unlock large-scale transition.

This intimate, high-impact gathering is designed to go beyond high-level strategy and focus on the critical role of states, provinces, and regions in delivering last-mile objectives.

Featuring Inspiring Subnational Leaders

Engage in a compelling discussion with three charming and influential leaders who are at the forefront of the energy transition in their respective countries. They will share exclusive insights on the strategic imperative of subnational collaboration in overcoming systemic implementation gaps.

This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from the implementers who hold direct control over key commitments:

  • Subnational Leaders from India

  • Subnational Leaders from Indonesia

  • Subnational Leaders from Brazil

What to Expect: An Intimate Discussion

This dialogue will center on the urgent need for a new platform to drive energy transition. We will explore key focus areas for the Collective:

  • Decarbonization of Industry: Pathways for enabling large and medium industries (focusing on steel and cement) to transition toward renewable energy.

  • Just Transition Capability: State-level interventions to keep people at the center through upskilling, employment, and social protection.

  • Critical Minerals Ecosystem: How subnational partnerships can fast-track exploration, mining, and processing across the Global South.

The session will feature presentations on each leader's country perspective, followed by a dynamic Question & Answer session.

Why Attend?

The Meridian Collective is structured to overcome barriers through targeted, peer-to-peer engagement and strategic advocacy. By joining this launch, you will:

  • Gain Exclusive Insights: Understand the proven, replicable last-mile delivery models being co-developed across peer jurisdictions.

  • Witness the Nexus: Learn how the Collective will facilitate knowledge exchange, technology sharing, and joint advocacy for access to finance.

  • Connect with High-Impact Actors: Network with the founding coalition of leaders from India, Indonesia, Brazil, and South Africa.
