Presenter: Dr. Joachim Fox is a director for Safety/Security in Automotive, composer/songwriter, and musician. Currently he is starting a foundation for Ethical AI in Music.
What to Expect: AI can now compose a track in seconds, mimic a voice you never recorded, and generate a “creative vision” from a single prompt. But what does that mean for musicians, producers, and technologists who still care about craft, identity, and artistic integrity? This session dives into the big questions shaping the future of music: Is there anything like a shared understanding of ethical or responsible AI use in the arts? What does creativity mean when machines can improvise? How do we protect artistic identity without shutting down innovation? And who gets to decide what “good” or “fair” AI practice looks like? Joachim and his Team are in the process of launching a foundation dedicated to supporting people and projects that explore these questions with depth, courage, and imagination. Before they finalize their direction, they want to hear from the people who will shape the next wave of music and music‑tech. In this interactive session, we’ll collect your perspectives, priorities, and ideas for how artists and technologists can approach critical, responsible thinking in AI-powered arts. Come ready to question, challenge, and co-create the future of ethical AI in music.
