Voices of Iran at TezCon

Voices of Iran is a mutual aid collaborative zine compiled of art and writing from people living in Iran. We asked Iranians to submit writing - whatever they wanted to say - alongside artwork made by volunteer artists or create the art themselves if they wished. 13 Iranian artists and 9 volunteers are featured in this first issue and all kept anonymous for their protection. All funds and donations towards this zine go only to the Iranian artists and no one else involved! This zine is planned as an ongoing project with multiple issues to include as many voices as possible. Want to learn more about how this all came together and how we were able to make this happen during an internet blackout? Join us for a talk and presentation with the project lead Erika Lamothe at TezCon in Seattle July 11!

Please note:

This project is launched as an NFT and while we are aware that there is a lot of negative stigma about NFTs, know that there is more to this community than you think and it's not all the same! We sell artwork - photography, paintings, drawings, poems, music, etc. and also raise money for good causes such as this one. Keep an open mind and an open heart as we amplify the voices of Iranians and raise money for them in a decentralized, safe way!
