Hong Kong’s digital asset market is entering a new phase. Licensing is expanding beyond trading platforms into a broader set of virtual asset activities, while onchain products are creating new ways to package, access and distribute financial exposures. The result is not just more regulation. It is a structural shift in how digital asset products are built, operated and brought to market.
This session will cover the incoming licensing reset at a high level, then focus on the bigger question: what does it mean for product architecture? From tokenised funds and wrapper structures to yield products and onchain distribution models, the key issues are increasingly practical: ownership, custody, discretion, redemption, transferability, settlement and distribution.
