Artists have been registering the signs of environmental collapse for years, often before the rest of us catch up. This talk looks at how that documentation is happening now, in real time, through the work being made and shown today.

Dr. Alan Northcutt walks through examples of art responding to climate change as it unfolds, drawing on his experience organizing annual climate art exhibitions in Texas since 2017.

Dr. Alan Northcutt is a retired pathologist who has led Waco Friends of Climate for over a decade and has organized annual climate art shows since 2017.

How the night goes

Doors at 6:30 PM. grab a drink, claim a seat, settle in. We kick things off around 6:55 PM. Dr. Alan Northcutt takes the floor at 7:00 PM. Questions from the room near 7:45 PM. Then we linger. meet the speaker, meet each other, around 8:00 PM. Out by 8:30 PM.
