Cultivating Impact from COP28 to COP30: Building Community Through Culture-Based Climate Action

​Since COP28, the movement for culture-based climate action has gained momentum on the global stage, forging new partnerships and amplifying the role of culture in addressing the climate crisis. Under the leadership of the United Arab Emirates, this movement has grown into a powerful force for environmental stewardship, leveraging heritage, storytelling, and creative expression to inspire change.

​Now, as 2025 unfolds—the Year of Community—the Dubai Climate Collective and the Entertainment + Culture Pavilion are convening cultural leaders, policymakers, and changemakers who engaged at COP28 to reflect on their progress and strategize for collective impact leading up to COP30 in Belém, Brazil.

​This intimate gathering will foster meaningful dialogue on how culture can be a catalyst for climate action, bridging local and global efforts. It will also reinforce the UAE’s leadership in sustainable cultural heritage and environmental conservation, ensuring that creative industries play a transformative role in shaping a more just and regenerative future.
