Sara Johnson is an investor with 20 years of experience evaluating opportunities across a broad range of industries, including technology, cleantech, healthcare, and life sciences. Over the span of her career, she has been a value-add partner to 100s of management teams and supported innovative companies with over $1Billion in debt capital.
Prior to joining Horizon, Sara was on the leadership team of Wells Fargo's Technology Finance Group where she helped implement growth strategies to drive portfolio expansion of 40%. After 13 years in sponsor-backed middle market M&A, she established CIBC's Innovation Banking Platform in Texas. At CIBC, Sara advised its leadership on growth strategy for the US market while sourcing credit opportunities in the South.
Sara is active in the community having served on the board of directors of several non-profits, sits on the advisory board of a fintech startup, and helps female founders with fundraising efforts. She is a member of Chief, a mentor, and strong supporter of female founders.
