A New Format for DeAI Day ✨
We recently surveyed the DeAI community, and most participants expressed excitement about joining workshops with prizes. This time, we’re introducing a fresh event format that combines hands-on workshops with engaging tech talks — designed to make learning interactive, rewarding, and community-driven.
⚠️ Note: Join us at noon with your laptop to take part in a range of engaging parallel workshops. If you prefer a later start, come by around 6pm for an evening of insightful tech talks and discussions with the community.
Agenda 📋
1200-1230: Doors open; refreshments and networking.
1230-1240: Welcoming remarks.
1240-1300: Workshop introduction by CrowdCent, YIEDL, CrunchDAO, and Yotta Labs.
1300-1800: Concurrent workshop sessions.
1800-1900: Pizza and networking.
1900-1915: Welcoming remarks (Meetup).
1915-2030: Presentations by the Numerai core team — Michael Oliver (Chief Scientist) and Michael Philips (Chief Data Officer).
2030-2045: First reinforcement learning challenge on FLock by Rob Smillie.
2045-2100: Closing remarks.

Numerai is an AI-driven hedge fund in San Francisco that crowdsources stock market predictions from global data scientist.
The Numerai Council of Elders is a community-elected group of seven members managing a multisig wallet funded by Numerai to support ecosystem initiatives.
CrowdCent is a decentralized prediction platform where data scientists build ML models to forecast crypto asset rankings, with live submissions scored against actual market performance.
YIEDL.ai is a decentralized, artificial intelligence-driven investing marketplace designed to bring together data scientists and investors.
CrunchDAO is a decentralized intelligence platform where financial institutions tap into thousands of data scientists to produce and crowdsource predictive models on live financial problems.
Yotta Labs is an interoperable AI compute OS for a multi-cloud, multi-silicon world.

Building a full sklearn pipeline with XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost, and LSTM models.
Proper time-series cross-validation (TimeGapSplit) to avoid leakage.
