Open Studio | Heatherwick Studio

​Curious about what it’s like inside a studio that blends art, engineering, architecture and storytelling? Heatherwick Studio will open its doors for an Open Studio session designed to spark curiosity and conversation.

​Students and graduates are invited to present a selection of their work and gain feedback focused on originality, concept development, and communicating ideas with impact. There will also be time to ask questions about the studio’s collaborative process and explore how diverse creative backgrounds shape some of today’s most recognisable projects.

​How It Works

​An Open Studio typically involves an introductory presentation by our host practice and meeting the team members and mentors who will be providing feedback to you on your applications.

​Participants will be split into small groups to ask specific questions about their CVs and portfolios as well as engage with their peers.

​We require attendees to bring physical portfolios for richer discussions. Each person will receive feedback for up to 15 minutes.

​Open Studio is :scale’s flagship programme, facilitating spaces for emerging creatives to connect, learn, and grow within the industry.

​Led by creative director Sana Tabassum, the studio offers collaborative workshops and mentoring that open up conversations around career development and creative practice.

​By linking early-career talent with leading practices across London, Open Studio helps bridge the gap between education and the professional world.
