Central Launch 2.0: Western Visayas Startup Hackathon
The CENTRAL LAUNCH 2.0: Western Visayas Startup Hackathon is a regional innovation and entrepreneurship challenge designed to empower innovators, students, and startup teams in Western Visayas. Building on the success of Central Launch 2024, this year’s edition provides a platform for ideation, prototyping, and pitching of technology-driven solutions that address regional sustainability and development challenges.
Eligibility to Join
Open to students, researchers, and faculty innovators from higher education institutions (HEIs), research centers, innovation hubs, and startups across Western Visayas.
Each team shall consist of 5 core members who will actively participate in ideation, development, and pitching activities.
Teams must include:
At least one (1) member with a technical or design background, and
At least one (1) member focusing on business or entrepreneurship/ technopreneurship.
Each team is required to have one (1) faculty adviser or mentor from their institution or organization.
The adviser/mentor is not counted as part of the 5 core members.
The adviser/mentor will not participate in pitching or scoring but may attend mentoring sessions and provide advisory support.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The venture or startup idea to be submitted must not be currently incubated under any Technology Business Incubator (TBI).
