About Event

Join Hacks/Hackers, The Atlantic’s product and tech team, and Infactory for a hands-on day of innovation exploring how AI can responsibly transform the way people experience news.

We welcome developers, journalists, designers, students, and researchers to prototype and imagine possibilities for the future of storytelling. Using The Atlantic’s archives and Infactory’s AI technology, you will have the opportunity to experiment with new approaches to curation, personalization and audience engagement.

The goal is to build experiences that embody trusted news-experiences of tomorrow – and in doing so, inspire our approach to the future. And win great prizes, meet great people, and have fun.

What to expect:

  • Breakfast, lunch and snacks provided

  • Access to The Atlantic's digitized archive, enabled by Infactory tools

  • Mentorship from Atlantic and Infactory teams

  • Demo presentations and $5,000 prize for top project

Who should attend: Journalists, developers, designers, product managers, AI researchers, data scientists and anyone passionate about the intersection of journalism and technology.

Come ready to collaborate, build and reimagine what's possible in digital journalism. Space is limited to 100 participants. Apply now to secure your spot.
