RUNNER’S HIGH
Presented by HOKA and :Phoebe Hui
At the limits of endurance, perception begins to shift.
Long-distance runners often describe a moment when physical effort gives way to something else — a heightened state where the body continues moving, yet the mind seems to expand beyond it. Time stretches. Sensations intensify. The boundary between inner and outer worlds softens.
Runner’s High explores this altered state of awareness. Created by HOKA in collaboration with Hong Kong artist Phoebe Hui, the installation transforms the psychological journey of endurance running into an immersive environment of light, sound, and movement.
As the line between inner and outer worlds begins to blur, Runner’s High invites reflection on how extreme exertion can transform perception, expand consciousness, and reveal new ways of inhabiting body and mind.
