Walk Commons Hub Brussels - History of Cooperatives
What it is:
This is a Brussels Walk proposed to encourage conversation and idea-sharing among participants. The route will be starting from the Smart Brussels Cooperative and will go trough various locations about past and future Brussels cooperatives
Purpose:
This walk is organized in collaboration with the ASBL Commons Hub Brussels, the ASBL walk.brussels and Smart Brussels as part of the Commons Open Dag (VL) and the Journée Découverte Entreprises (WL-BX) on the 4th of October Weekend.
In addition to promoting "Cooperatives and Commons" within Brussels, a goal is to leverage the benefits of walking specifically to boost health, creativity and human relationships.
Walk Theme and Distance:
The walk will cover approximately 4.5 km, featuring various milestones to discover current and historical cooperatives through Brussels center, packed with locations, history and anecdotes.
An optional drink will be organized after the walk for the interested participants in the area of the "Place du Jeu de Balle" at the Mazette Cooperative Bar .
Facilitation:
The walk will be guided by Alain Vereecke (IT analyst freelance and CHB member) with Marianne Briquemont (CHB member).
Event fee:
a conscious participation donation for the ASBL Commons Hub Brussels will be proposed at the end of the walk
Registration or Cancellation:
The registration of walk participants must be done via this event page. A confirmation of the registration is sent via e-mail with an entry for your calendar
