About Event
The Parlour is Okrika’s film series spotlighting films that document, question, and imagine African and Black life.
This month, we’re screening BLKNEWS: TERMS + CONDITIONS by Khalil Joseph. The film moves through time, weaving fictional and historical characters into a layered story that spans 247 years across land and sea. It plays like an archive in motion, pulling together fragments of Black memory and diaspora into one immersive experience.
After the screening, we’ll open up a conversation around diaspora, memory, and how what we inherit shapes how we move through the world today.
