The Research Code Academy Boot Camp is a 12-week online programme launching 1 June 2026, where 50 young African technologists research real community problems and build open-source technology solutions across five specialist tracks, AI and Machine Learning, Backend Engineering, Frontend Web Development, Mobile Development, and Human-Centered Research and Design.

At this session we will cover:

What the bootcamp is and who it is for
The six community challenges your cohort will work on
The five tracks and how to choose the right one for you
What the 12 weeks actually look like
How to apply before the 30 April 2026 deadline
Live Q&A, bring your questions

The bootcamp is fully online, completely free, and open to applicants across Africa. No prior research experience is required. What matters most is your curiosity, commitment, and desire to build technology that actually serves people.
