βπ Certificate of attendance issued by the GaudΓ Foundation and Originate Institute
βThis masterclass is ideal for anyone without any design or creative experience. Creatives and designers will also benefit greatly from it.
βWhy this masterclass
βEveryone now has the same tools. Ask AI for an idea and it gives you what it gave everyone else, because it is answering the same question everyone else asked. GaudΓ faced a version of this problem without AI: everyone around him had access to the same styles, the same materials, the same training. What made his work different was not the tools but where he looked for the answer.
βIn 90 minutes you will work through one real challenge using the first of the three teachers, your own origins, and see how much the answer changes when the question does.
βWho this is for
βAnyone who was told by the world they are not creative or a designer, but deep inside knew that they really are
βDesigners and creatives who want to try an origins-inspired methodology
βProfessionals whose work is starting to look like everyone else's
βAnyone curious about how GaudΓ actually worked
βWhat you'll experience
ββ
Why AI gives everyone the same answers, and what to do about it
β
How to reframe a challenge so it produces something nobody else would reach
β
Where to look for material that is yours and nobody else's
β
One real challenge, solved at the tables, in a small group
βAnd you will walk away with:
βπ‘ One challenge of your own worked through from a new angle
π The reframing method to use on anything else you make
βAgenda
β15:30 | Welcome and the challenge
β15:45 | Why everything is starting to look the same

ββAbout us
βSofya Abramchuk spent 8 years at the GaudΓ Foundation in Barcelona as head of design, working directly with the archives: GaudΓ's notebooks, letters and experimental models. She is the curator of GaudΓ: Back to the Origins, the exhibition now at Sinsa House, and the founder of Originate Institute, the Foundation's educational partner.
βFrom that research she developed the Origin8 method, built on GaudΓ's own principle that originality consists in returning to the origin. She has taught it at Keio University in Tokyo, at Chung-Ang University here in Seoul, and inside the studios of European fashion houses in Paris, and she has spoken at design conferences across Europe and Asia. She appeared on BBC News on the completion of the Sagrada FamΓlia tower and has been interviewed on Japanese and Austrian television during the GaudΓ centenary.
βAbout GaudΓ Beyond the Origins
βVisitors to the exhibition see what GaudΓ made. Here you learn to create the way he did. The program runs on the Origin8 method, developed over 8 years at the GaudΓ Foundation in Barcelona, built on GaudΓ's own principle: originality consists in returning to the origin. It has been delivered across five continents with companies, universities and foundations.
βThrough August the gallery becomes a working studio. There will be free introductions like this one, a lecture series reading GaudΓ in four returns, hands-on masterclasses at the tables, full workshops where you design one object by hand and take it home printed, sessions for children, after-hours tours of the exhibition guided by its curator, and one closing salon without phones. Every session is complete on its own and opens the door to the next.
βWho is it for? Designers, founders, marketers, students, parents, anyone who makes things and wants them to be original rather than derivative. No design experience needed. All dates and registration on this calendar.
βπΈ By attending you agree to being photographed for the program's documentation and promotion. Tell us at the door if you prefer not to appear.
