How If Everyone Cares CIC used AI to build The Case for National Digital Visibility Infrastructure - a report exploring why community visibility matters as much as roads, electricity and water. The report took over 400 hours to create, supported by a team of six AI assistants, each given a distinct role. This began from an accessibility need - Jaki King, Founder and CEO of If Everyone Cares CIC, is autistic, has ADHD, and is dyslexic. AI became a genuine working partner in producing something at this scale. Yet this was never about letting AI take over. Every fact was checked through a full AI-supported system, building an evidence register that was then made publicly available, so every source behind the report could be checked by anyone.
Jaki needed to ensure that every word came from her and her heart. AI was used to help her express her thoughts, carry her values, and hold true to why the work exists in the first place - people, found before crisis, not after.
This talk walks through that whole process, from first idea to published report, and what it actually takes to use AI at this scale while keeping your voice, your priorities and your integrity fully intact.

About the Speaker
Jaki King is a grandma in tech - and proud of it. She is the founder of aDoddle.org, a national community mapping platform supporting charities, community groups, and local support providers across the UK.
Jaki is proud to have worked in community and social impact roles for over 25 years, including delivering and supporting community projects across rural Devon. In the early days of laptops and digital rollout across the South West, she delivered IT training to play workers and community practitioners, and wrote practical, plain-English IT manuals at a time when helplines, online guides, and on-demand support didn't yet exist.
Neurodivergent and living with long-term health conditions, Jaki has long used technology as an enabler - from early assistive tools like spellcheck to today's AI. She brings this perspective into her work at aDoddle, which has grown from an idea first explored in 2010 into more than a decade of full-time development and delivery, rooted in social value, accessibility, and human-centred design.
Her contribution to community and social impact has been recognised through a UK Points of Light award, and she is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Her most recent work includes writing The Case for National Digital Visibility Infrastructure, exploring how AI can help build systems that are accessible, evolving and rooted in real community need.
