Hoche Hour with Axel Colin de Verdière (Doctolib): Building Tech That Matters
Join us for an evening with Axel Colin de Verdière, Engineering Director at Doctolib and veteran tech leader with over 10 years of experience building transformative products across startups.
About Our Speaker
Axel has spent his career at the intersection of hardware, software, and impact. After earning degrees from UCLA and École Polytechnique, he's led technical teams across multiple high-growth startups, building products from the ground up. Currently, he’s an Engineering Director at Doctolib (Europe's €6.4B healthtech unicorn), transforming how 90 million Europeans access and manage their healthcare.
With experience as CTO at Cardiologs (AI-powered cardiac diagnostics, acquired by Philips) and uptime.ac (predictive maintenance solution for elevators), he specialises in structuring multidisciplinary technical teams and aligning technical execution with business goals.
Why You Can't Miss This
In a conversation with Jus Mundi’s Engineering Manager Matthieu Codron, Axel will share his journey from building IoT solutions for elevator maintenance to developing life-saving AI diagnostics, and now reimagining healthcare delivery at European scale. This is a unique opportunity to hear from someone who has:
✨ Built tech teams and products from scratch at multiple startups
✨ Navigated organizational and cultural changes from start-up to scale-up
✨ Led cross-sector innovation and complexities in highly regulated industries
✨ Balanced innovation velocity with mission-driven values
Both Doctolib and Jus Mundi share a fundamental belief: technology should democratize access to essential services. Both companies have formalized this commitment as Sociétés à Mission, embedding social impact into their corporate DNA.
