About Event

Calling young music and animal lovers!

On Tuesday 28th October from 10.30 am to 12 pm, the Royal Society for Blind Children is hosting a music workshop for children aged 0-7 with a vision impairment at our London Centre, followed by a visit from Ark Farm. This session is held in collaboration with The Amber Trust – a charity who provide musical opportunities for blind and partially sighted children, and children with more complex needs. The Amber Trust is the only national charity dedicated to supporting blind and partially sighted children with their musical development and education. More information about the organisation can be found here.

At the music workshop, children will get the chance to play percussion instruments, sing songs, and join in with some musical games! Parents will also have the opportunity to ask representatives of both The Amber Trust and the RSBC about the work which they do for young people with a vision impairment.

The session will be led by Adam Collins, an Amber Music Practitioner.

After lunch (provided by the RSBC), the children will be given the opportunity to have a Soft, Furry & Friendly Small Animal Encounter with Ark Farm, who specialise in bringing a variety of friendly animals into schools, nurseries, children's centres and care homes, delivering a real hands-on educational, fun and extremely tactile experience for children and adults of all ages.

Where is it?
